In early 2008, Scott Parrish, John Pulleyn and Mike Young left their financial advisor positions at an international brokerage firm to found Parrish, Pulleyn & Young Wealth Management in Clayton, NC. In August of 2008 they opened an office in Cary, NC.

Scott Parrish ** began his career in financial services in 2003 and brings many years of industry experience to Parrish, Pulleyn and Young. He is a graduate of the Financial Advisor Development Program at Morgan Keegan and Company, where he served as a financial advisor for nearly 4 years. Most recently, Scott served as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch.

Scott is a graduate of the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business at Campbell University, where he earned a Master of Trust and Investment Management. Prior to graduate school Scott attended North Carolina State University where he earned a BA in History. Scott is a graduate of Southeastern Trust School and has completed the Cannon Wealth Management series. He has met the education requirements for the Certified Financial Planner designation and is currently preparing for the qualifying exam.

He is a native and lifelong resident of Johnston County and resides in Flowers Plantation outside of Clayton. Scott is a Charter Member of the Clayton Lions Club, a Charter Member of the Clayton Mid-Day Rotary Club. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Johnston Community College Foundation, a member of the Board of Directors for the Johnston County Social Services Department, and President of the Watson's Mill Homeowner's Association Board of Directors. He is married to Dr. Erin Parrish of East Carolina University.

John Pulleyn ** graduated from Furman University with degrees in Political Science and Spanish and as a Distinguished Military Graduate from the ROTC Program. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant into the US Army in June 2001. He served as a Tank Platoon Leader in Germany and deployed his platoon to Baghdad, Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While deployed to Iraq, John was chosen as the second-in-command of his tank company, earning a Bronze Star Medal. After Iraq, John took command of a basic training company at Fort Knox, KY, where he commanded his company with distinction. John earned a Meritorious Service Medal for his six years of military service.

John began his career in financial services with Merrill Lynch, to which he was recruited out of the military. John founded Parrish, Pulleyn & Young Wealth Management with Scott Parrish and is responsible for client planning and business development.

John and his wife, Mistie, have been married since 2002. They have 2 children; a daughter, Grace and a son, Jackson. John and his family live in Flowers Plantation.

Mike Young * studied Economics at Plattsburgh State where he was a member of the NCAA ice hockey program. Mike is a former U.S. Army airborne soldier and businessman who enjoys working with individuals, including business owners, to help them reach their financial goals. He believes that financial planning requires an ongoing, collaborative relationship. His role in that relationship is to help his clients manage, grow, and preserve their wealth. Mike is committed to providing exceptional service and is readily accessible to his clients and their intermediaries. Mike's financial career background includes Merrill Lynch and BB&T Investments.

Mike enjoys being a volunteer as well. He was the ice hockey head coach for North Carolina State University for 11 years, earning 3 ACC Coach of the Year Awards. He also participates in the Indian Princess/Guides program at YMCA, coaches youth sports and is a former high school Youth Minister.

Mike and his wife, Maria, have been married since 1998. They have 2 children; a daughter, Gabriella and a son, Nicholas. Mike and his family are longtime residents of Cary.

Casey Titus joined Parrish, Pulleyn and Young as Office Manager in 2009. She spent the previous 7 years as a stay at home mom. She brings with her years of experience working in medical office management and administration. She also has knowledge of small business ownership and management from which she learned the benefits of client satisfaction, service and loyalty. Casey is currently completing course work to earn a BA in Business.

Casey is a native of New Bern, North Carolina and has been married to her husband Eric since 2000. They live in the Clayton and have two wonderful children, Mackenzie and Alexander. Casey is active in the lives of her children and fosters the enrichment of their education. She and her family enjoy fishing, kayaking, and regular visits to the beautiful beach at Pine Knoll Shores. She is also an avid reader and serves on the board for the Garner Area Soccer Association, an affiliate of the Capital Area Soccer League (CASL).

Eric Harmeling joined Parrish, Pulleyn and Young as an intern in August of 2011. In September, he joined the staff as PP&Y Head of Technology. Eric is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Economics and plans on studying Mathematics in graduate school.

Eric is originally from California and has been living in Clayton for the past five years.
